The empty chair in Tampa garnered the most attention of the entire Republican Convention overshadowing even Mitt Romney's acceptance speech. We can now go forward to the Presidential Debates and an appearance by Willard Romney's empty suit.
Although Romney's offshore accounts are flush with cash his campaign is devoid of substance. He repeatedly says his success is the reason he should be President implying his wealth is all "you people" need to consider in determining who to vote for in the November Presidential elections.
After all, Romney is a helluva lot richer than the other guy and Romney certainly has to be referring to the money he made during his time at Bain Capital as his qualifier because he says his leadership at Bain Capital should not be on the table and open to political scrutiny.
Like his taxes, Romney is not likely to tell you people what's in his plans for creating 12 million new jobs reducing unemployment, reducing the National deficit or anything else because that could only lead to his opponents using it against him. So what is it can we expect the Romney empty suit to talk about at the debates?
How Republicans want to make Obama a one term President perhaps?
A lot of Conservatives have been and are saying Romney's problem is that he needs to look Presidential. What really does that mean? Romney certainly and correctly wears his American flag pinned on his lapel and places his right hand properly over his heart when singing America the Beautiful, isn't that looking Presidential enough? Is looking Presidential going to be the determining factor in the forthcoming Presidential race? It is the Republican Party that is full of empty suits not the American electorate.
When the President asks about Romney's offshore account we can expect Romney to reply that they are legal. When the President asks Romney about outsourcing Americans jobs to China we can expect Romney to say "talk to the suit!" When the President asks Romney about conflicting statements Romney has made and signed that are possibly criminal we can expect Romney to ask the President for an apology for bringing that up. When confronted with all the lies Romney has told the President will be confronting an empty suit.
There is really no logical reason for more than one Presidential debate because all that will show up for each debate from the Romney camp will be the same old empty suit.
